Position: Maintenance Technician Facilities

Location: York, NE 68467

Work Schedule: Sunday–Saturday, 6:00 AM–6:30 PM (2 on / 3 off / 3 on / 2 off rotation)

Duration: 3 Months (Possibility to EXTEND)

Work Type: Onsite

Pay rate: $23.00/hour (plus $1 shift differential)

Job Summary:

What You’ll Do

• As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in supporting plant operations and ensuring equipment reliability. Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting plant operations and capital projects.
• Maintaining the plant shop and tools.
• Assisting with Process Safety Management and safety efforts.
• Performing seasonal prep work, preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
• Setting up, calibrating, and maintaining equipment, machines, and facilities.
• Conducting grounds and facility maintenance as needed.
• Using predictive maintenance tools to prevent future machine failures.
• Creating, updating, and training on preventative maintenance plans.
• Completing fabrication projects to improve plant processes.
• Maintaining detailed equipment records and prints.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

What Skills You Need

• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable working on elevated surfaces above 25 feet (with fall protection).
• Beginner-level Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Willingness to work in various environments, including chilly warehouses and around machinery.
• Ability to assist teammates and lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Knowledge of production agriculture and associated machinery.
• Basic knowledge of building electrical systems.
• Welding and/or millwright skills (seed industry experience a plus).
• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic repair and testing equipment.
• Basic process control understanding.
• Two or more years of education and/or experience in a technical, electrical, or mechanical field.
• Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP) for work orders and inventory.

Qualifications / Basic Requirements:

• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screenings.
• Reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, honesty, and respect for others.
• Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts, including overtime.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds, work indoors/outdoors, and walk on uneven surfaces.
