Bridgeport, CT - Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery - Full-time

Hospital: St. Vincents Medical Center, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606-4201

Position details:

• Full time, newborn nursery and hospital pediatric coverage

• Schedule:

  • Six (6) weekday shifts and two (2) weekend shifts per four (4) week cycle

  • There are thirteen (13) cycles per year

  • Each shift is twenty-four (24) hours

  • For weekday shifts, physician must be on-site at the hospital between 5:00PM - 10:00AM of each twenty four (24) hour shift and available via phone between 10:00AM - 5:00PM

  • For weekend shifts, physician must be on-site at the hospital for the entire twenty-four (24) hour shift

• Hospital coverage includes rounding on newborns, attending c-sections (both scheduled and emergent), managing photo therapy, occasional pedi consults to E.D. or floors, and stabilization of newborns for transport

• Faculty opportunity with Quinnipiac University teaching med students
• Support from neonatologists 24/7

• No circumcisions

• Hospital averages over 1,000 deliveries annually
