Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full scope of accounting and financial reporting functions establishing and maintaining an effective departmental structure to meet strategic and operational objectives.
• Direct the preparation and distribution of monthly GAAP-compliant financial statements, inclusive of management summaries, departmental breakdowns, and variance analyses.
• Optimize cash returns and manage banking activities to minimize financial risk.
• Monitor and communicate the organization’s financial health by gathering, evaluating, and presenting key financial metrics.
• Compile and deliver special reports by researching, analyzing, and interpreting data trends.
• Lead, coach, and guide accounting staff, fostering performance through mentoring, training, and performance management.
• Manage the flow of information to external auditors during the year-end audit process.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal reporting obligations, including tax compliance.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis in support of major initiatives, operational issues, budgeting, and forecasting efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA Preferred
• 2+ years management experience
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with SAP is preferred.
