Job Responsibilities- Perform a variety of cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass, aortic and valvular surgeries, atrial fibrillation management, and more.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care alongside a multi-disciplinary care team.
- Collaborate with advanced practitioners, physicians, and other team members to deliver comprehensive care.
- Partake in rounding at the hospital and see patients in the clinic, primarily post-operative visits.
- Respond to hospital consultations and emergencies as required by 24-hour call duties.

Qualifications- MD or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of accredited general surgery residency followed by cardiothoracic surgery residency, or integrated residency.
- Board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
- Valid Commonwealth of Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Proficiency in a wide range of cardiothoracic procedures.
- Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills.
- AHA certifications are required.

Working Hours- Holiday coverage requires a 24-hour call schedule with physician availability for hospital consultations outside of regular rounding hours.
