Job Description

We are hiring a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care to adults, pediatrics, and neonatal patients. You will perform diagnostic testing, manage ventilators and oxygen therapies, respond to codes, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to improve respiratory outcomes. This role is ideal for clinically driven RRTs who thrive in a collaborative, rural-hospital environment and value work-life balance.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide direct respiratory care: initiate and manage mechanical ventilation, NIV, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized treatments while monitoring patient response.
  • Perform diagnostic testing including arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, spirometry/pulmonary function testing, and bedside respiratory assessments.
  • Respond to codes and respiratory emergencies; provide ACLS/PALS/NRP/advanced airway support as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to develop, implement, and document individualized respiratory treatment plans.
  • Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and medical gas systems; manage inventory of supplies and cylinders.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, home oxygen/ventilator use, and community resources to support discharge planning and continuity of care.
Skills Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Current Utah State Respiratory Therapist license or Respiratory Care Practitioner credential.
  • CRT or RRT credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred) and minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience—acute care/hospital experience strongly preferred.
  • BLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP must be obtained within 60 days if not current.
  • Demonstrated competency with mechanical ventilators, ABG interpretation, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  • Strong critical thinking, effective communication, and proven ability to perform under high-stress/code situations.
  • Knowledge of infection control, HIPAA, and The Joint Commission standards for respiratory services.

Preferred

  • Experience in ICU, ED, NICU/PICU settings or with advanced ventilator modes and weaning protocols.
  • Prior exposure to quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and EMR-based documentation.
Benefits Culture Highlights
  • Comprehensive benefits for full-time staff: medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • Generous PTO / extended illness bank, tuition reimbursement, and employee assistance programs.
  • Supportive, team-oriented culture in a scenic, family-friendly community with strong work-life balance.

If you are a patient-centered Respiratory Therapist committed to clinical excellence and collaborative care, we encourage you to apply to join a trusted clinical team serving Price, UT and surrounding communities.
