Location: Gainesville, GA, 30501

Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000

Work Environment: (Hybrid, Remote) ~2 days onsite max


Our client, a reputable law firm in Gainesville, GA, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. The firm specializes in providing comprehensive legal services in estate planning and probate administration. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with individuals and families, crafting personalized legal solutions to protect assets and ensure a smooth transfer of wealth.


Position Overview:

The ideal candidate is a skilled attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and probate administration. They should have a proven ability to draft and execute wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents, as well as manage non-contested probate matters efficiently and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Counsel clients on estate planning strategies to achieve their goals and protect their assets.
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives tailored to individual needs.
  • Manage non-contested probate administration, including preparing and filing necessary documents.
  • Advise on tax implications and strategies related to estate planning and probate.
  • Provide guidance to families on guardianship and succession planning.


Required Skills:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Georgia Bar.
  • At least 3 years of experience in estate planning and probate administration.
  • Expertise in drafting estate planning documents and navigating probate court processes.
  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach to legal services.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases with attention to detail.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with business succession planning and tax considerations in estate law.
  • Experience advising clients on guardianship for minor children or adults with special needs.
  • Knowledge of advanced estate planning tools, such as irrevocable trusts or charitable giving strategies.
