Job Title: Network Engineer

Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team as a Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in designing, configuring, and deploying service provider backbone infrastructures, and possess a strong understanding of routing protocols, traffic engineering, and scalable network architecture.
- Service Provider / Carrier Networking: Engineer or architect large-scale commercial service provider backbones.
- Routing Protocol Expertise: Design and support networks using MPLS, IS-IS, BGP, and OSPF.
- Traffic Engineering: Implement Segment Routing, MPLS TE, RSVP-TE, and policy-based path optimization solutions.
- ISP Design Patterns: Architect backbone, core, and edge network designs, including IP transit, peering, and customer services (e.g., L3VPN, EVPN, Internet access).
- Network Architecture: Develop high-level designs, reference architectures, and migration strategies for carrier-grade infrastructures.
- Capacity Planning: Forecast bandwidth demands, build scaling models, and design resilient topologies to ensure high availability.
- Documentation & Communication: Create comprehensive engineering design documents, participate in peer reviews, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Individuals with five (5) or more years of experience working in commercial WAN environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and cultivate collaboration among team members.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Preferred/Optional Skills:
- Automation & Orchestration – Exposure to Ansible, Python, or Netconf/YANG for network automation.
- Cloud Interconnect – Understanding of carrier-to-cloud architectures, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, or similar.
Physical Requirements:
The work is performed in an office environment and is primarily sedentary in nature. The individual will be required to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time and alternate between different stationary positions. The individual must also be able to move about the office at times. This position requires the ability to communicate frequently. This position may occasionally require the ability to ascend stairs, reach, stoop, kneel, lift light to medium objects, view and operate a computer, keyboard, telephone, and other office equipment and to withstand moderate noise and temperatures.
This position does require travel between various customer sites, in addition to travel for network installations, customer meetings, and other government and/or contractual needs.
