Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A dynamic opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in pediatric and school-based services. This contract position is based on-site in Martinsville, VA, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. The role is designed for candidates holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC), with credentials suitable for pediatrics, Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), and school settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification (SLP-CCC)
- Experience or specialization in pediatric speech-language pathology
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and services
- Strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with educational and licensure standards
- Participate in individual and team meetings as required
