Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in South Dakota. This opportunity begins on Dec 22, 2025, and spans a 4-day commitment with 24-hour shifts scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 a.m. The provider will serve as the sole clinician in the emergency department, rounding on patients and stabilizing them for transfer as needed. Candidates with rural ED and sole provider experience are preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve as the sole provider in the emergency department
• Round on all patients in the ED
• Stabilize patients for transfer as required

Additional Information

• Active South Dakota license required
• Board certifications required: Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Urgent Care
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Rural emergency department and sole provider experience preferred
