Position Overview

We are seeking a U.S.-trained Board Eligible or Board Certified Hematology/Oncology physician to join a well-established, community-based cancer program in Davenport, Iowa, serving patients across Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. This role offers strong institutional support, advanced oncology resources, and excellent work-life balance.

Schedule & Call

• Daytime clinic schedule

• Shared call rotation

• Inpatient consults primarily at the Davenport campus

• Hospitalist team provides inpatient support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology and medical oncology care

• Outpatient clinics in Davenport and Clinton, IA

• Collaborate with a team of 4 Oncologists and 2 Nurse Practitioners

• Participate in shared call coverage

• Work within a physician-led medical group that values wellness and autonomy

• Utilize advanced resources including:

  • Radiation oncology

  • Genetic testing

  • Clinical trials

  • Modern infusion services

✅ Required Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology
  (BE within 3 years of residency; must obtain BC within 1 year of employment)

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology
  (same BE/BC requirements as above)

• Must be U.S. Board Eligible or Board Certified

• Iowa and Illinois medical licenses (or willingness to obtain)

• DEA and CSR/CDS (or able to obtain prior to start)

• NPDB Self-Query Report (within 30 days)

• Copy of most recent NPDB report (30–60 days)

• Clean malpractice history preferred

• Candidates with malpractice cases in probate or requiring supervision will not be accepted

• No locums

Compensation & Incentives

• Competitive compensation with a 2-year guaranteed salary

• Transition to wRVU-based model after guarantee period

• $100,000 sign-on bonus
