The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prioritization and validation of the development software for the Infrastructure Services & Libraries (ISL) team.
- Reviewing/understanding Systems Engineering concepts/designs/algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
- Support the team in the development of acceptance criteria for software updates and be responsible for their verification.
- Work with Program Management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
- The position will include technical briefings, demonstrations and advisement to leadership.
- Report on status; recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Candidate must be a US Citizen.
- Candidate must obtain or be able to obtain a SECRET Security clearance or higher.
- Must have a bachelor's degree, or an advanced degree, from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, sciences, or mathematics.
- The candidate will need to have a good understanding of at least some of the following: Ansible and/or other scripting languages; data logging and archiving best practices; weapon system component health & status reporting best practices; the DDS standard; C++ and Java code.
- The candidate must be able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
- Must be fluent in Microsoft Office tools.
- Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
