Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday shifts (8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM depending on location)
• No call requirements
• Required to wear black scrubs
• ARRT Board registration in Radiology Technologist and Mammography Technologist required
• Experience with 3D Tomosynthesis training required
• Preferred experience with Hologic Mammography equipment and Epic system
• Perform correlative breast examinations and document scars, moles and pertinent findings
• Provide individualized breast self-examination instruction and patient education
• Identify patients properly using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying departmental protocols
• Document patient history in electronic record as required
• Demonstrate strong skills with radioactive material safety
• Perform mammography procedures with proper breast compression, positioning and special views
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure physical safety and comfort
• Communicate instructions clearly and explain procedures to alleviate patient fears
• Perform equipment quality control procedures using radioactive sources
• Evaluate results to ensure equipment performance meets acceptable standards
• Parking available at both locations
