Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with 2 years of recent critical care experience and a current OK or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a multidisciplinary ICU caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
- Utilizes advanced technology such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
- Night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Unit uses various monitoring and life support equipment
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Responsible for delivering advanced critical care and supporting critically ill patients with diverse needs
- Must be able to perform a variety of patient care functions in alignment with licensure and certifications
- Team oriented work environment with support from multidisciplinary professionals
- May require references from previous managers or supervisors
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Requirements
- Active OK or compact RN license, no pending status accepted
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience in a US hospital setting
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA only), and CPI
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired
- Must provide Social Security Number for consideration
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
