Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.

• Ensure sterile environment by maintaining and monitoring surgical instruments and equipment.

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.

• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes.

• Monitor patient vitals and report any changes to the surgical team.

• Participate in continuous professional development and training sessions.

• Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

• Assist in the development and implementation of surgical protocols and procedures.

• Evaluate and improve surgical techniques and processes for efficiency.

• Engage in performance reviews to assess and enhance personal and team effectiveness.

• Contribute to a culture of safety and quality in the surgical environment.

• Support inventory management by tracking and ordering surgical supplies.

Experience/Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technician First Assist certification required.

• Minimum 2 years experience in surgical assisting or related field.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and training.

• Proficient in maintaining sterile environments and monitoring surgical instruments.

• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with surgical team.

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate and improve surgical techniques.

• Ability to document surgical procedures accurately and maintain patient records.

• Experience in developing and implementing surgical protocols and procedures.

• Ability to engage in performance reviews for personal and team effectiveness.

• Proactive in tracking and managing surgical supply inventory.
