Accountant with Construction Experience

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with Construction Experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, including job costing, progress billing, subcontractor payments, and financial reporting. This role will work closely with project managers and the finance team to ensure the financial integrity and accuracy of our construction and maintenance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date job cost records for all active construction projects
• Prepare and analyze project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
• Manage accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects
• Handle AIA billing, lien releases, and subcontractor compliance documentation
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Collaborate with project managers to review costs and track project profitability
• Assist in preparing monthly and year-end financial statements
• Support internal and external audits as needed
