Business Systems Analyst

Job Description

Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies moderately complex information systems. Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Under general supervision, provides customer support to current users by report and query tool creation, current report maintenance and custom data requests. Provides ongoing communication with customers on system status and data issues. Performs business analysis functions such as gathering user requirements, business rules, and data sources for new applications. Will advise on end-user training for business applications to ensure understanding of functionality. Troubleshoots and maintains existing applications (e.g. monitor processes, error correction, provide QA of data and maintain data integrity, system testing, etc.). Provides technical consulting on basic information systems projects.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in IT analysis, specification design, language selection and report formatting.
