SharePoint Developer

VG Systems is seeking a Mid-Level SharePoint Developer on a team of SharePoint developers, architects, and administrators creating applications, workflows, BI solutions, and migrations within Microsoft SharePoint Online and the Power Platform. The ideal candidate brings hands-on development experience and a problem-solving mind, with a strong desire to learn and grow in an idea-nurturing environment.

* Work location is in Aberdeen, MD but only requires one day/week of on-site support. Option for full remote if customer approves based on candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Custom solution development using utilizing JavaScript, jQuery (or related libraries), and CSS3/HTML5
• Creation of flexible applications leveraging Power Apps and the entire Power Platform
• Automation of Business Processes using SharePoint Online capabilities and Power Automate
• Planning, creation, configuration, customization, checks, and remedy of issues related to SharePoint Sites and user requirements
• Creation of dashboards/Business Intelligence based on key performance indicators using Power BI
• Site branding and management of site collection permissions
• User training, provisioning, and management of SharePoint sites and Power Platform applications
• Support for M365 and SharePoint Online
  
  

Required Skills:

• Experience creating and/or implementing graphical design for customer SharePoint site branding
• Experience doing workflow development using out-of-the-box SharePoint Online and M365 capabilities
• Proven ability to participate in the analysis of IT and business requirements and issues
• Proven experience to indicate a record of information security awareness and discipline in information systems development and sustainment
• Demonstrated ability using and migrating from SharePoint 2013/2016/2019 to SharePoint Online
• Strong JavaScript background and experience Preferred

Experience & Certifications:

• 5 years of experience working on IT software/application support and development
• 2 years of professional experience supporting technology delivery to commercial or government clients
• 2 years of experience in JavaScript, jQuery (or related libraries) and CSS3/HTML5
• Bachelors Degree in related field (or equivalent years of experience)
• Maintain a Secret clearance from the United States
• Security+ CE (DOD 8570 IAT Level II)
• A Computing Environment certification in SharePoint, Power Platform, or other related Microsoft area of technology
