Security Officer in Sussex County

Now hiring part-time temporary and permanent Security Officers in Sussex County, New Jersey. 10am - 6pm. Must be able to work 8-hour shift and overnight, as needed. NJ Security Guard License (SORA) required. Various duties include meeting and greeting residents, check in and out guests and service providers, monitor and operate electronic security control systems, accurately maintain daily logs, complete some clerical work, records and forms, and control access to the properties. You will help maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the premises. May be assigned other duties by supervisor as needed including providing security for various events. Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently and able to maintain focus, understand and react to emergency situations, and be professional at all times. Must be 18 years of age or older and required by law/contract. Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. Candidates for the position should have strong interpersonal skills, ability to maintain satisfactory attendance & punctuality, and have a neat, professional appearance. High School diploma or GED required. Part-time employees accrue paid sick time.
