pQualifications:/p ul liHigh School diploma or equivalent./li liMust pass a state or local assessment of basic skills, or has completed two years of college, or has an A.A. degree./li liOne to two years of experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred./li liAbility to type and use computer a plus./li liAbility to develop and maintain effective relationships with students, teachers, parents, and staff./li liAble to obtain or possess an Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card/li /ul pReports to: Teacher to whom assigned/p pnbsp;/p pJob Goal:nbsp;nbsp; To assist the teacher in providing a well-organized and effective classroom environment where the student with special needs may take full advantage of the instructional program./p pnbsp;/p pPerformance Responsibilities:/p ul liDevelops daily lesson plans and activities under the direction of a teacher./li liWorks withnbsp;(1)nbsp;student under the direction of the teacher./li liPrepares and uses a variety of instructional materials under the supervision of the teacher such as worksheets, practice exercises, games, and instructional aids./li liAssists teacher with record-keeping tasks such as attendance, grading, etc./li liMonitors the students' activities such as test taking, cafeteria, playground, field trips, etc./li liTypes materials as necessary, uses copy machine, and uses computer to effectively assist teacher./li liParticipates in in-service training as required./li liPerforms other related duties as required./li /ul pTerms of Employment:nbsp; 10nbsp;months. nbsp;Salary established by the Governing Board.nbsp; Employee benefits in accordance with district policies./p
