Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and licensed Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide therapy to children and adolescents in a comfortable, in-person setting. This role is perfect for someone who is dedicated to empowering young clients and their families through evidence-based interventions and compassionate care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual therapy sessions for children and adolescents.
- Provide family therapy and psychoeducation to support clients’ treatment goals.
- Create and maintain treatment plans collaboratively with clients and families, updating plans every 6 months or as needed.
- Perform Mental Status Exams (MSE) during new client evaluations and at treatment plan updates.
- Develop safety plans for clients experiencing suicidal ideation (SI), self-harm (SH), or other high-risk behaviors.
- Collaborate with school counselors, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to foster growth and collaboration.
Requirements:
- Applicants must pass a background check and a urinalysis (UA) prior to being offered this position.
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.
- Active and unrestricted license in Colorado (LPCC, ADDC, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents.
- Proficiency in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, or Play Therapy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for working in a rural community setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or specialized training in Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, or Trauma-Focused Interventions.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including those in rural areas.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
