Associate Attorney

Barker Patterson Nichols, LLP is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Associate to join our team. The successful candidate must be admitted in New York State. This position can be remote or hybrid.

Duties include:

• Manage a diverse caseload of Insurance Defense claims
• Collaborate closely with partners, attorneys and team members on strategic legal projects
• Attend court appearances, conduct depositions and motions as well as other legal proceedings
• Maintain regular communication with clients providing detailed case updates, managing client expectations, and offering proactive solutions
• Draft and review complex legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and settlement agreements
• Contribute to the development of case strategies in preparation for trials and settlement negotiations
