Safety Director (Steel Erection) - Alexandria, VA - Full-time

Evolution Safety Resources, a leading Safety Consulting Firm based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Director specializing in Steel Erection for a full-time, permanent position in the Manassas, VA area. This role involves ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines across multiple data center sites in the DC/VA region. Responsibilities

• Travel between local data center assignments, ensuring steel safety expectations are met across various sites.
• Act as a steel erection subject matter expert, addressing technical questions and resolving concerns from other trades and general contractors on multi-employer worksites.
• Inspect sites daily for existing and potential incident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures, and follow up to ensure implementation.
• Maintain all reports, including daily inspections, Job Safety Analysis, and incident reports.
• Investigate all reported injuries and illnesses.
• Represent the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.

Qualifications

• OSHA 500 credentials (required)
• 10 years of construction experience with a strong emphasis on steel erection (required)
• Field safety experience - 5 years (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Ability to manage an onsite team of site safety professionals
