Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Nevada City elementary school is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide part-time support in a contract position for the current school year. This role offers the opportunity to work 2-3 days per week with an average caseload of approximately 15 students, making a meaningful impact on children's communication development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for elementary-aged students
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Provide direct speech therapy sessions to students
  • Support students communication goals using evidence-based strategies

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current CCC certification for Speech-Language Pathologists preferred
  • Experience working in a school setting highly valued
  • SLPA candidates with school experience considered
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate with educational staff
