We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. This role is integral in ensuring efficient operations within our high-volume warehouse site, which sees a constant flow of freight. You will be responsible for unloading and loading trucks using a sit-down forklift, managing inventory updates, and preparing shipments.

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts to unload and load trucks.
• Move trailers within the warehouse area.
• Cross-train in both receiving and shipping functions.
• Use RF scanners and computers to update inventory records.
• Work through paperwork and prepare shipments.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating sit-down forklifts.
• Strong computer skills for inventory management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Familiarity with RF scanner operations.

Work Environment

Work in a smaller warehouse environment equipped with two docks, handling high volumes of freight. Our distribution center operates across three shifts, requiring flexibility with hours that may adjust based on business needs. Embrace a dress code suitable for warehouse operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boardman, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
