Construction Project Controller
Plainview, NY
Our client, a highly successful construction company, is looking to hire a Construction Controller. Qualified candidates will have completed their Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and have ten or more years of construction accounting experience. You will work closely with the CFO as well as Project Managers across multiple sites around the region. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that will give you excellent exposure across the organization and a healthy work/life balance. This is an in office role, 5 days a week, offering a salary of $150,000 to $180,000 dependent on prior experience plus a solid benefits package.
Responsibilities for the Construction Project Controller job include:
Responsible for corporate accounting and reporting on multiple projects simultaneously
Track financials, report on variances, trends and produce percentage of completion reports
Work closely with project managers and clients on financial status
Liaise with vendors and sub-vendors for billing purposes (AIA)
Evaluate and improve procedures for efficiency
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Ten or more years of construction accounting experience
Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel required
Experience with MRI or Yardi software is highly preferred
Self-motivated, driven personality
