Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist with a current SC or compact PT license and BLS certification for a hospital-based rehab unit.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital-based outpatient rehabilitation unit
• Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday with no weekends or call required
• Possible holiday shifts may be required
• May be required to float within scope to similar units or sister facilities as needed
• Patient documentation is completed using Epic EMR
• Primary duties include providing physical therapy treatment to outpatient clients in a hospital-based setting
• Pewter-colored scrubs are required
• Free parking is available on site
• Completion of approximately 4 hours of pre-start modules is required
• Candidates may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• All requested time off must be declared prior to offer; extended leave requests or holidays may require separate approval
• Only candidates who have traveled previously are eligible; first-time travelers will not be considered

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State Compact Physical Therapist license required if applicable
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Epic experience preferred
• Must submit SSN and driver’s license for consideration
• Locals within a 60-mile radius are not accepted
• Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility system for at least 1 year prior to consideration
