Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of acute care experience for a day shift position in a Level II trauma acute care hospital.
Responsibilities- Work in an acute care hospital setting with a 1:1 therapist-to-patient ratio
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with weekend rotation required
- No on-call or block scheduling requirements
- Patient caseload includes a variety of acute care cases
- No floating between units, but may be expected to float between nearby facilities if necessary
- Epic EMR experience required
- Main responsibilities include providing acute care physical therapy treatments to a diverse inpatient population
- Collaborate with full-time therapy staff and participate in multidisciplinary care
- All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state if needed
- Day-to-day dress code for licensed staff is solid navy blue scrubs; print tops not permitted
- Return staff must have a 3-month break before returning as a traveler
- Completion of non-billable online modules prior to start is required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- At least 1 year of recent acute care physical therapy experience required
- Current state PT license required if applicable; compact license must be in hand
- Two supervisory references from the past 3 years required for consideration
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Must live at least 50 miles from facility for travel pay eligibility; locals accepted at a lower pay rate
- Must be able to commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Background check must be clear of Nursys or BG hits
