Retail Store Manager - Direct Hire Opportunity

We are excited to support our client in their search for a skilled, hands-on Retail Store Manager to lead their high-volume retail outlet. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team where strong leadership, merchandising expertise, and operational excellence are critical to delivering outstanding customer experience.

Store Hours:

• Thursday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Friday – Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Planning and prep work primarily takes place during the Monday to Thursday timeframe.

Position Overview:

The Retail Store Manager will take full ownership of daily store operations, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and organized environment. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage both people and products, driving team performance while maintaining high merchandising standards in a busy, open warehouse setting. Your ability to set the tone, enforce accountability, and optimize the customer journey will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of store operations including staffing, scheduling, and floor management.
• Lead, coach, and develop the store team, with direct responsibility for the Assistant Manager’s performance.
• Maintain exceptional merchandising standards; oversee product presentation, restocking, and store organization.
• Be a visible, hands-on presence on the sales floor, leading by example and ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Manage store openings, closings, cash handling, and conduct daily operational walkthroughs.
• Adjust store layout and manage traffic flow, particularly during busy weekends and peak reseller hours.
• Work closely with store ownership and leadership to identify and implement operational improvements.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of retail management experience, ideally within off-price or warehouse-style retail environments.
• Strong merchandising skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
• Genuine passion for fashion and customer engagement.
• Availability to work weekends, extended shifts, and lead through high-volume periods.
• Experience with retailers such as TJX, Ross, Nordstrom Rack, Macy’s, or comparable brands is highly preferred.
• A hands-on, organized leader who fosters a culture of accountability and teamwork.
