Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Perform electrical preventive maintenance, repairs, and calibration procedures with minimal supervision, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Initiate and complete work orders and requisitions, documenting all critical and pertinent information routinely.
  • Respond to emergency repairs during off-hours as needed.
  • Travel to other company facilities to provide technical support when required.
  • Identify and address improvement opportunities proactively, taking on increased responsibilities as needed.
  • Complete required corporate and plant training programs within prescribed timeframes.
  • Use basic and precision measuring tools to perform maintenance tasks accurately.
  • Follow standard safety procedures, promptly correct and report safety and environmental hazards, and adhere to lockout/tagout and other safety protocols.
  • Work overtime and rotating shifts during outages or as requested.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, including via intercom, two-way radio, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, anticipating and resolving typical and recurring problems with minimal supervision.
  • Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts, manlifts, skid steer loaders, and other mobile machinery as needed.
  • Maintain a positive work environment and collaborate effectively with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial or power industry electrical and instrumentation maintenance, or at least 2 years as a 3rd class E&I Technician with required instrumentation training/experience.
  • Relevant licenses as required by state, environmental, or federal regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, handle tools and equipment, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, bend, push, pull, crawl, and ascend/descend stairs and ladders as part of normal work activities.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and move throughout all areas of the plant, including catwalks, deck grating, and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to operate fire extinguishing equipment and access confined spaces as required.
  • Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to use personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Exposure to noise and industrial environments.
  • Use of personal protective equipment such as respirators, hard hats, safety shoes, eye protection, chemical and heat-resistant suits, and hearing protection as required.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights greater than 4 feet.
