Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Title: Shipping & Receiving Clerk – International Focus
Location: Downers Grove, IL
Salary: $65K–$70K

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and execute international shipments, including packing, crating, labeling, and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, packaging standards, and customs requirements.

• Support domestic shipping and receiving operations.

• Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and corrective actions.

• Coordinate and communicate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Project Management.

• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records; support physical inventory counts and reconciliations.

• Identify and recommend process improvements to reduce errors and enhance compliance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in international shipping, including hands-on packing, crating, labeling, logistics, and customs documentation.

• Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and compliance requirements.

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is required.

• Leadership potential and interest in long-term growth.
