Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This position is a multi-craft maintenance role responsible for the maintenance and repair of over 30 CNC machining centers. The role involves approximately 70% reactive maintenance and 30% preventive maintenance. The technician will address operator errors and machine issues, working with various control software including Mitsubishi, Unitronics, and Fanuc.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on hydraulic and pneumatic components, spindles, pallet changers, vacuums, band saws, relays, pumps, sensors, prox switches, and motors.
• Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery.
• Replace hydraulic lines and understand hydraulic/pneumatic system mechanics.
• Swap out hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders and replace different types of bearings such as ball screws, radial bearings, ball bearings, and pillow block bearings.
• Ensure machines operate at peak efficiency to maximize product output.
• Manage and complete tasks from a project list, which may contain over 100 items.
• Troubleshoot servos and VFDs, and work with electrical systems including 3-phase 480v.

Essential Skills

• Troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Electrical troubleshooting including 3-phase 480v.
• Experience with CNC maintenance and control software.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and schematics.
• Experience working with a preventive maintenance schedule.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of CNC machinery.
• Experience working in a shop environment.
• Willingness to work night shifts from 10 PM to 6 AM with some flexibility.
• No personal tools required.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
