Locums CRNA – New Hampton, Iowa

Position Overview

Clinical Details

Surgical Cases:
- Cataracts: 11 to 15 per day
- Other procedures: 3 to 4 per day
Procedures Include:
- General adult and pediatric surgery
- Minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, spinal anesthesia (total knees only)
- Regional anesthesia, ventilation management, local infiltration
- Common cases: cataracts, colonoscopies, EGDs, carpal tunnel, total hips and knees, scopes
OR Setup:
- 2 operating rooms staffed with surgical techs, RNs, CRNAs, and surgeons
Trauma Level: IV
Annual ER Volume: ~5000 visits

Requirements

Licenses & Certifications:
- NBCRNA Certification – REQUIRED
- Active Iowa State License – REQUIRED
- BLS, ACLS, PALS – REQUIRED
Experience: No new grads; must have prior experience
EMR: EPIC (Providers must complete a 4-5 hour training class; training is compensated)
Work Style: Must be able to work independently; provider or surgeon will also be present
