Created for upcoming Junior and Senior college students, our full-time (40 hours/week), 12-week programs are designed to provide hands-on experience within your area of interest. Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented intern to join our Store Development team, providing administrative support across a range of operational and technical functions. This internship offers hands-on experience in supporting field technicians and managing key processes related to refrigeration, HVAC, lighting, and food equipment services across KVAT Food Stores, Inc.’s retail locations. The intern will assist in completing office-related tasks tied to equipment installation, energy monitoring, maintenance tracking, and refurbishment projects. They will help maintain accurate records of expenditures, capital requests, and vendor communications, while also supporting the creation of purchase orders and tracking supply costs. A key part of the role involves working with Energy Management Systems (EMS), including updating schedules, troubleshooting alarms, and downloading system history to support field diagnostics and reduce product shrinkage. In addition to technical support, the intern will help organize and maintain department-specific reports, spreadsheets, and documentation related to refrigeration expenses, labor, and supplies. They will assist in preparing budget materials, auditing maintenance invoices, and providing financial reports to the accounting team to support year-end invoicing and capital tracking. This internship is ideal for students pursuing degrees in business administration, operations management, or facilities management. Successful candidates will be proactive, communicative, and comfortable working with data and systems in a fast-paced environment. The role offers valuable exposure to store operations, vendor coordination, and energy systems management, preparing interns for future roles in administrative operations or store development. In addition, interns are assigned a project and expected to complete a final presentation summarizing their work and share their insights with company leaders at the conclusion of the internship.

Program Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university as a Junior or Senior, majoring in a relevant field of study.
  • Recently graduated with an undergraduate degree and are currently majority in a relevant field of study.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA, cumulative.
  • Have strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of company information.
  • Ability to work with own initiative.

Not Required, but Encouraged:

  • Previous experience in a professional work environment
  • Participation in leadership roles
  • Community involvement and volunteerism
