• Provide 24-hour call coverage in a busy obstetrics and gynecology department
• Support both routine and complicated deliveries, as well as gynecologic procedures
• Work with residents on occasion during weekend coverage
Assignment Details
• Start Date: January 1, 2026
• End Date: Ongoing
• Coverage Type: Call Only
• Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a-7a
• Call Type: Phone (not beeper), response required within 30 minutes
• Setting: Inpatient OB/GYN service
• EMR: MediTech
• Privileges: Required (no temporary privileges available)
• Estimated Credentialing: 60-90 days
• Annual Deliveries: 550
• Patient Load: Variable
Requirements
• Board Certified or Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Kansas license
• Clean NPDB and background preferred
Clinical Details
• Preferred Skills:
- Routine and complicated deliveries (including C-sections, VBACs, breech, multiples, abruptions) - FHR interpretation, OB ultrasound (Level I & II) - Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations - Office/minor gynecology (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP) - Surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic, major operative procedures such as ectopic pregnancy and cystectomy)
• Residents: May provide coverage on weekends
