Radiologic Technologist

Job Description

Hard-working, dependable, upbeat, patient-focused Radiologic Technologist needed for a very busy Orthopaedic Spine Surgery practice!

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Process digital images in accordance with standardized procedures
• Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
• Operate C arm in procedure room for spinal injections, kyphoplasty procedures, etc
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by Physician, PA-C, or ARNP.
• Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Log completed radiological procedures.
• Identify and file reports as required.
• Maintain x-ray room, stock necessary radiological supplies.
• Work closely with the Physicians, PA-Cs, or ARNP to ensure appropriate patient care

Qualifications

• Current AART Certification
• 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technician/ X-ray
• CARM / Fluoroscopy experience preferred
