Job Description

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and guidance from the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, this position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks critical to the safe maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment. The tasks are essential to the safety, quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of the plant's production lines, which operate continuously 24 hours a day, five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Perform PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• Conduct maintenance repairs and welding when necessary.
• Utilize tools such as multimeters and apply knowledge of low voltage systems.
• Work with VFDs, HMI, servo systems, and relay logic.
• Handle pumps, blowers, gears, sheaves, and combustion equipment.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting
• Electrical troubleshooting
• PLC troubleshooting
• Understanding of 3-phase systems
• Experience with AC/DC industrial equipment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Logix 5000
• Fabrication skills
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
• Knowledge of servo systems and relay logic

Work Environment

Work in an industrial manufacturing facility that is dusty, dry, and hot in summers, yet maintains a relatively clean environment. The position supports a continuous 24/5 operational schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HILLIARD, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
