Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

In a supportive K-12 educational environment in Arvin, CA, there is an opportunity for a dedicated occupational therapist to make a meaningful impact. This contract position is available for California-licensed occupational therapists ready to contribute their expertise to students' diverse needs until at least June 2, 2025.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Occupational Therapy License
  • Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Strong understanding of IEPs and collaborative practices
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 30-35 students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Location:

  • Arvin, California, with travel to neighboring school districts

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring occupational therapy
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with educational staff
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress notes
  • Work closely with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to support student needs
  • Manage a caseload of 30-35 students, ensuring personalized attention and support
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
