Assignment Duration\n

This is a 13-week contract position.

\n\nSchedule\n

Full-time schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with additional on-call shifts during the week and weekend responsibilities every fifth week.

\n\nJob Description\n

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care within a large academic teaching hospital. The candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and may be required to float to other surgical suites.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Cardiovascular OR, specifically in Cardio Vascular and Open Heart procedures.
\n
• Assist in circulating cases in other surgical specialties such as General, Orthopedic, Neuro, and ENT as required.
\n
• Maintain flexibility in scheduling to meet unit needs and patient care requirements.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Cardiac Operating Room.
\n
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
\n
• Epic experience from within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
\n
• Prior travel experience is required.
\n
• Scrub experience is mandatory.
\n
• General operating room experience in a large academic teaching hospital is necessary.
\n
