Job Description:
The Registered Nurse in Telemetry will be responsible for providing care to patients on a Neuro Tele unit, specializing in cases such as trached patients, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, and more. The role requires Level 1 Trauma experience and involves interpretation of EKGs.
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients within a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform central monitoring and interpret EKGs
- Administer and titrate drips including Amio, Cardizem, and Insulin Drips
- Participate in SIMs Lab for skills such as Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
- Engage in floor-specific orientation for 2 days
Requirements:
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience with neuro preference
- Pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance with 2 attempts allowed
- Ability to pass SIMs Lab skills assessment
- Compliance with appearance standards: natural hair color, no facial piercings, men clean-shaven
