Position

The Human Resources department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate the WCF Insurance values to join their team as an HR Specialist to support a wide range of HR functions including general HR administration, talent acquisition, and employee training and development. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that works out of WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support across HR functions including onboarding, benefits, and employee training.
  • Coordinate and support full-cycle recruiting: job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer letters.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs and onboarding sessions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR-related matters.
  • Track and report on training participation and effectiveness.
  • Support performance management and employee development initiatives
  • Provide timely and accurate support to HR processes and employee needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or training & development.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.

All employees earn 4 weeks of vacation in their first year. Expected hourly pay for this position is $24 - $30 depending on experience, and education.
