Our 4N department is a dynamic 44-bed medical-surgical unit where nurses manage a blend of surgical and medical cases, with a special emphasis on renal care. The team here is known for its strong sense of collaboration, making 4N a welcoming and supportive environment, especially for new graduates eager to build their skills. Team members gain experience with a wide range of interventions, including various lines, chest tubes, peritoneal dialysis, and telemetry patients.
How you'll contribute
A Registered Nurse, RN who excels in this role:
- Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
- Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
- Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
- Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
- ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
- One year of experience prefrred, new grads encouraged to apply and will be supported through 1 year of residency program
- ASLS certification preferred
