We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in software development, military data link systems, 5G communications, and graphical user interface (GUI) application development. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining advanced software solutions that support mission-critical systems in a defense environment. This is a mid grade position with an average of 3~5 years experience or the applicant possess specialized skills related to this position based on recent experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement software applications supporting military tactical data link (TDL) protocols (e.g., Link 16, Link 22, VMF, etc.)..

  • Integration of sensors and setting up setting up communication with Minotaur software application program interfaces (APIs) and SNC TRAX radio control and track management software.

  • Develop and integrate solutions for 5G-enabled communication systems, ensuring secure and high-performance interoperability. This includes Verizon, AT&T and work with Open5G and RAN protocols.

  • Build and optimize user-friendly GUIs for complex applications that support operators and mission analysts.

  • Collaborate with systems engineers, network specialists, and program managers to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions.

  • Perform software testing, debugging, and validation to ensure compliance with industry standards and defense requirements.

  • Document designs, workflows, and technical approaches in accordance with project guidelines.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies in communications, networking, and interface design to inform product improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, or C#.

  • Demonstrated experience with military tactical data links and related communication protocols.

  • Experience in 5G network programming, integration, or simulation environments.

  • Strong knowledge of GUI frameworks (Qt, JavaFX, .NET, or equivalent).

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with defense systems integration and test environments.

  • Experience with real-time or embedded systems.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in military and 5G applications.

  • Strong communication skills for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
