Responsibilities – Automotive Service Advisor:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally, building trust and rapport
  • Accurately write up repair orders and communicate concerns to technicians
  • Provide clear explanations of recommended services, pricing, and timelines
  • Follow up with customers on repair progress, updates, and completion
  • Maintain communication between the customer, service team, and parts department
  • Review completed work with the customer and process payment
  • Actively promote maintenance services and specials to increase hours per RO
  • Ensure excellent customer satisfaction by resolving concerns quickly
  • Coordinate with technicians and the service department to ensure timely repairs
  • Clearly explain technical information in an easy-to-understand way
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions and transactions


Requirements/Qualifications – Automotive Service Advisor:

  • Previous automotive service advisor or dealership experience preferred (but not required with strong customer service background)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer proficiency with DMS and scheduling software
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and repair processes a plus
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
  • Team-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to present maintenance and repair services as value-driven without being pushy
  • Customer-first mindset: listens actively and explains clearly
  • Energetic and engaging personality that creates customer loyalty and retention
  • Team-oriented with excellent organizational skills
