Job Title: Radiology Staff Nurse (IR)
Location: Massachusetts
Schedule: Full-time | 40 hrs/week | 4x10s | Mon–Fri with variability | Rotating call (M–F evenings, Sat/Sun, holidays as needed)
Overview:
The Radiology Staff Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care for patients of all ages undergoing radiological procedures. This role involves pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, emergency response, and collaboration with the IR section leader and radiology team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive patient care, monitoring vitals and ECG changes.
- Administer conscious sedation, medications, and emergency interventions.
- Assist radiologists during special procedures requiring nursing support.
- Recognize and treat contrast reactions.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and aftercare.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient privacy and safety.
Requirements:
- RN License (MA) – Active
- 3–5 years nursing experience; critical care experience required
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice, IV skills, aseptic technique, and emergency response
- Excellent communication, customer service, and computer skills
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) – Required
