Reporting to the Fulfillment Manager, the Print Fulfillment & Logistics Supervisor owns the end-to-end fulfillment stream—from product fabrication and order prep to collation, packaging, shipment processing, and manifesting. You’ll also drive workflow design, staffing and administrative people management, and departmental budget tracking and development.
A day in the lifeYou kick off the shift by reviewing production priorities and aligning the team. Work orders flow to the right stations, metrics are tracked in real time, and any bottlenecks are cleared before they can slow down due dates. Throughout the day you partner with other departments, validate reporting accuracy, and update stakeholders and leadership on status. Before wrap-up, you review KPIs, schedule training touchpoints, and scan the market for smarter shipping solutions that reduce freight costs for GSP and our customers.
What you’ll do- Build and manage a cohesive workflow that connects fabrication, picking, collation, packing, and shipping/manifesting.
- Ensure the right work moves through the department accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Communicate production schedule priorities and escalate changes as needed.
- Prioritize, facilitate, and expedite production to meet customer due dates.
- Guarantee the accuracy and completeness of reporting tools.
- Monitor data collection methods and the cadence of reporting for all metrics; drive improvements.
- Collect and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and annual KPIs to measure process improvements and manage flow against established metrics.
- Advance continuous improvement, including workflow system development.
- Recommend and develop future automated order-picking systems and processes.
- Benchmark and track shipping platforms and small-parcel options to minimize freight expenses for GSP and our clients.
- Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Foster productive collaboration between Fulfillment and other departments.
- Define, communicate, and manage departmental policies and procedures.
- Hire, schedule, and develop Fulfillment staff to match workload and customer demand; handle administrative people management.
