Now Hiring at our Jacksonville, North Carolina manufacturing plant for an energetic individual to join our team as an Assembler III. In this role you will be required to perform the following tasks:
  • Performs general assembly and production tasks within the leather department.
  • Operates various machines and hand tools to assemble leather brims and shells.
  • Utilizes heating and burning tools (e.g., torch) to shape helmets as required.
  • Carries out operations such as drilling, riveting, sanding, and finishing (excluding painting).
  • Inspects completed assemblies for quality and defects.
  • Assists with additional assembly and material handling duties as directed by the supervisor.
  • Operates a range of equipment including hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
  • Works efficiently to meet established production targets and deadlines.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adheres strictly to all safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow work orders, engineering drawings, and instructions for production, quality, and safety.
  • Proficient in operating hand tools and power tools; experience with gas torches or other heating/burning equipment preferred.
  • Good manual dexterity to reach established production efficiency standards.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long durations and perform repeated lifts (20 lbs regularly; up to 40 lbs when required).
  • Ability to adapt to changing production priorities; strong communication and collaboration with team members at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and adherence to all safety regulations.

Education/Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 6 months of manufacturing experience (preferred).
