Quality Technician

Quality Technician – Onsite | Kansas City, KS

We’re seeking a Quality Technician to join our team in Kansas City, KS. This role is a mix of hands-on inspection/testing and administrative quality support, with the opportunity to grow into leadership. You’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet customer, vendor, and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do

Investigate and document customer quality complaints, returns, and field issues

Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective/preventive actions

Inspect incoming materials, components, and finished products for compliance with specifications

Collaborate with vendors to resolve non-conformances and support supplier quality audits

Assist in new product introductions through inspection, testing, and documentation

Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and calibration activities

Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects

Communicate findings and updates with internal teams across engineering, supply chain, sales, and customer service

What We’re Looking For

Associate’s degree or technical certification in Quality, Engineering, or related field

3–5 years of experience in quality assurance, inspection, or technician roles

Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (root cause analysis, CAPA, Six Sigma basics)

Hands-on experience with inspection and measurement equipment

Strong documentation, organizational, and critical thinking skills

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners

Experience with electrical, lighting, or industrial products preferred

Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite), Power BI, and Excel is a plus

Work Environment

On-site position based in Kansas City, KS

Standard office and light manufacturing/warehouse environment

Occasional travel to suppliers or customer sites may be required

Role may support on-site visits in the event of customer outages
