Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for outpatient and inpatient coverage requiring 2 years of recent PT experience and a state license.
Responsibilities- Work primarily in outpatient physical therapy with occasional inpatient coverage as needed
- Acute care hospital setting with 24-hour emergency care and attached skilled care facility
- Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (5x8 shifts)
- Patient ratio is typically 1:6
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs
- Cerner is used for hospital charting and PointClickCare in extended care facility
- Compact license accepted; free hospital housing is available for travelers
- Responsible for evaluation and treatment of patients across both outpatient and inpatient settings
- No weekend coverage is required for this M-F position
- RTO is restricted during the first two weeks due to orientation, with a maximum of one week of RTO allowed
- Scrub color is flexible per facility dress code policy
- Free parking is available on site
- Hospital-provided housing is offered to travelers
- Travel pairs are accepted
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a physical therapist in an outpatient and inpatient setting
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state physical therapy license required; compact license accepted
- Cerner experience preferred
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- License required if applicable
