Key Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager

• Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, including performance oversight and professional development
• The Accounts Payable Manager serves as the primary escalation point for all AP-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution
• Develop, document, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for AP functions
• Oversee full-cycle AP processes including invoice processing, check runs, vendor communication, and bank reconciliations
• Accounts Payable Manager will manage high-volume processing, averaging approximately 500 checks per week
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

Qualifications of an Accounts Payable Manager

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
• Proven experience in accounts payable management, especially in high-volume settings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of pivot tables and VLOOKUP
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• The Accounts Payable Manager has the ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
