We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Associate Attorney to join our fast paced legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, with a strong emphasis on legal writing. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on complex and challenging legal issues, contribute to the strategic direction of our legal team, and work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff members.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Associate Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various types of legal documents.
2. Conducting thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and litigation strategy.
3. Representing clients in court, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue against opposing counsel, and negotiating settlements.
4. Collaborating with other attorneys to develop case strategies, prepare for trials, and negotiate settlements.
5. Providing legal advice and guidance to clients on various legal issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
6. Staying abreast of current legal trends, court decisions, and new laws that may affect our clients or the practice of law.
7. Participating in business development activities, including networking events, to build and maintain client relationships.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably in a law firm setting.
3. Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia (GA).
4. Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise, and effective legal documents.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and formulate effective legal strategies.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
7. Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
8. Strong commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
9. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
